Hi everyone! My name is Xinjia Han and you can call me Cindy. I am a graduate student at UIC learning how to be a teacher for young children. Now I will be doing my pre-teaching practicum in Ms. Harrison’s classroom for 10 weeks. It’s been really amazing and inspiring to learn with our lovely 2nd graders who are so creative and eager to learn!
Many of our great observers guessed I am Chinese when we met in the first day. Yes! I was born in China and have been living in Hong Kong for a long time. I can speak both Mandarin and Cantonese and write in both simplified and traditional Chinese. I love learning different culture and seeing our beautiful earth in different places. So I traveled all around the world! There are so many stories I would like to share with everyone in LAB! Before coming to Chicago 1 year ago, I have been a school social worker in Hong Kong for 3 years. I always like listening to kids and teenagers and I feel grateful that we can understand more about each other. I am looking forwards to having great time with everyone in the coming months!
